A Life Well Spent!

2 Thessalonians 3:13

13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

There are times we feel as if we are marching in place going nowhere.  Why?  Because sometimes we cannot see the full effect of what it is we are doing.  You never really know how deeply and positively you impact people’s lives, and sometimes, you never get to see the fruition of the seeds you plant. But we don’t do what we do in the kingdom of God for credit or to gain points with God or man.  We work in the kingdom of God because we love Him and we want to serve Him. We live lives of service in order to please the Lord.

Don’t you dare get tired.  Keep on working.  Keep on serving.  Keep on loving God and His people.  Live a sold-out life for God and I promise you will never regret it.  Listen friends, life is short, and eternity is long.  So, we don’t have a lot of time on this earth to impact this world.  Let me encourage you; serve the Lord with all your heart and make your life count.  Don’t give up! Don’t get tired!  Don’t get weary in well-doing! Let me give you some advice:

Love Generously: God designed love to have a powerful impact on human relationships.  Whether it is expressed by forgiving, addressing a person’s needs, sharing the Good news, or encouraging the weary, love can change a life forever.

Share Christian Kindness: Kindness has been defined as “God’s love expressed in practical ways.” It is intentionally sharing the love that God has given us. The condition of our relationship with God is reflected in how compassionate, tender, generous, and forgiving we are.

Serve Passionately: God’s work in believer’s lives is evident when we passionately love and serve the body of Christ.  When we practice hospitality, we make the kingdom and Christ’s message attractive.  Put your heart in this.  Love the brethren, and serve the Lord with gladness.
